Portion of 16th century convent in Tuscany
Portion of stone convent dating back to 1500 with 2000 sqm of private park
We offer a luxury villa in “Castiglioncello” (LI), surrounded by a magnificent park of approximately 5000 sqm, adorned with over 70 Turkish palm trees, alternating with fruit trees and oaks.
The villa, dating back to the late 19th century, has an internal area of approximately 500 sqm. It was the residence of important aristocratic families, including Countess Cangini di Volterra, to whom Polish sculptor bas-reliefs from 1860 were donated, still present in the charming salon of the villa. The residence played a significant role during the period of revolutionary movements for independence, hosting patriotic Polish personalities connected to the Italian Carbonari-Republican movements. The two impressive bas-reliefs affixed in the imposing salon tell the story and evoke the atmosphere of that historical moment.
The luxury villa, just a few steps away from Quercetano Bay, is spread over two well-distributed levels. The central area of the living space is dominated by the triple salon with large windows overlooking the sea, which leads to the majestic terrace of approximately 130 sqm. The imposing staircase leads us to the park where the swimming pool, BBQ area, and pleasant gym are located.
The ground floor, in addition to the large fully equipped masonry kitchen, features an additional industrial kitchen, a dining area, a lounge, a master bedroom, two bathrooms, a study, and a laundry room.
The first floor, in addition to the central salon, comprises two additional living areas. The sleeping area consists of six more double bedrooms, including a master suite with an en-suite bathroom, two bedrooms with sea-view balconies, and two large marble bathrooms, both with double sinks, shower, and bathtub.
The panoramic rooftop terrace of approximately 330 sqm, accessible externally via a staircase, will be expanded to create an additional covered area of approximately 150 sqm. The project envisions a fully glass composition with a dominant view in the center of Quercetano Bay.
The property has dual access, with a driveway at the front and pedestrian access at the rear. The villa is just a short walk from the center of the renowned and so-called “Pearl of the Tyrrhenian Sea”. From the park, there is private access to the beach and the main beach resorts of the bay.
